Zachry Hospitality Hilton Palacio Hotel - P/T Banquet Houseperson in San Antonio, Texas
To set up banquet room, break down, and service all meeting rooms for banquet functions.
Set up banquet room to specifications set by the banquet event order.
Properly cleans meeting space at beginning, during, and end of events, including not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping, scrubbing
Supplies and replenishes meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
Break down or reset meeting rooms where meetings have concluded, and return equipment to storage closets or leave equipment in the room in an orderly fashion for the next function.
Maintains established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms so they stay presentable and clean at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of the banquets operations including food, beverages, service techniques, and meeting room set up.
Knowledge of the appropriate table setting and service ware.
Ability to stand, walk and continuously perform essential job functions on a variety of shifts, for extended periods of time.
Ability to listen, and communicate effectively.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
Ability to push/pull cart/ table weighing up to 150 lbs.; grasp, lift to waist and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs and podiums weighing up to 60lbs. through a crowded room.
Requires considerable physical activity, on a continuous basis throughout the shift, for room set up and break downs.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Prior hospitality experience preferred.
Food Handlers Certification preferred.
